My first career began in the early 90s working within Investment Banking at PaineWebber. I would go on to run multi-billion dollar trading operations for Relational Investors and Freeman Associates, where I was a member of these firms’ senior leadership teams. My years on Wall Street taught me that every business is a people business. From this I decided to focus my second career on human capital rather than financial capital.
Upon retiring from the asset management industry in 2015, I launched an organizational development consultancy to work with executive teams on alignment, communication and succession planning. In 2017, I started coaching professionals to help them grow their careers in a healthy way. More recently, I have enjoyed mentoring the next generation of business leaders as an adjunct member of the leadership development faculty at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
I am credentialed as an ICF Professional Certified Coach and have been certified in Hogan Leadership assessments as well as EQi Emotional Intelligence assessments. I have completed coursework in positive psychology through Yale University, design thinking with IDEO and conflict management with the University of California, Irvine. I received a bachelor’s degree in economics and philosophy from Union College in Schenectady, New York.
